The Coolnet Hammock is uniquely designed to fit on standard rigging of the majority of sailboats.
The most novel feature of the "Sailboat Hammock" is three connection points (stainless steel rings) which provide unequaled stability. The Coolnet will not tip, swing, or flip like all traditional hammocks.
This versatile hammock may be mounted in several different areas. A primary place is above the cabin top (next to the mast and boom). This area is out-of-the-way, allowing guests unobstructed movement around the boat. The Coolnet may also be positioned over the foredeck, or above the aft section (next to the mizzen).
The next coolest thing is that simply tying the side braid high on the boom or sail cover, amazingly converts the Coolnet into a porch swing position...back and head fully supported...feet swinging.
Two of these sailboat hammocks may easily be hung at the same time.

HISTORY
In the summer of 1889, a riverboat plied the waters of South Carolina's beautiful Lowcountry coast.
The sultry nights were too hot for sleeping on grass-filled mattresses. To keep his crew cool and comfortable, Captain Joshua Ward crafted the first Original Pawley's Island Rope Hammock. This handmade design, with wooden stretcher bars and a loose-latched rope weave, proved so pleasing and popular that it has remained unchanged for over 100 years....

...In the 21st century, Captain Claiborne Hamilton, in an effort to adapt a hammock to accommodate the motion, rigging, and space restrictions of sailboats, created the Coolnet Hammock.
In 2005, the Coolnet Sailboat Hammock was awarded a patent.

PLACEMENT of HAMMOCK
To position over cabin top: One side of the Coolnet’s head stretcher attaches to the mast, spinnaker pole ring, or gooseneck. The other side of the head stretcher is tied to a shroud. The body of the hammock runs aft, and the foot stretcher attaches to the boom. The Coolnet may be similarly mounted to the mizzen.
To position over foredeck: With head stretcher tied to mast and shroud, take the foot forward and attach to the forestay or cutterstay.
Multiple hammocks may be utilized at the same time.
Important: The Coolnet must be removed during active use of the mainsail. This is the most stable hammock we’ve ever seen, due to three points of attachment. However, it is not intended for adverse or severe sea conditions, and should be stowed if extreme weather is expected.

Each Coolnet Hammock is constructed of seasoned white oak stretcher bars, hand-finished, with linseed oil, to preserve the wood grain.
Attachment rings are polished 316 Stainless Steel.
Coolnets are individually braided and woven, using UV, mildew, and rot resistant, 1/4 inch soft-spun polyester rope in traditional white color.
